Beth Roti Spider Doug Bruno Basketball Camp StaffCamp Director – Beth “SPIDER” Roti

In summer 2020, Coach Roti will enter her first summer as lead onsite Camp Director having previously served as Camp Co-Director to Doug Bruno and an integral part of Doug Bruno for over 30 years. Roti is a former standout DePaul player and also served as Head Coach of Kishwaukee Jr. College. On top of that she was a multi-sport star athlete at Kaneland High School and DePaul University.

She earned a four-year basketball scholarship to DePaul University and, as a prolific shooter, helped lead the Lady Blue Demons to their first ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament back in 1990.

Creamean-Roti, an All-State player out of Kaneland High School, is a member of the Knights Athletic Hall of Fame. Following a record setting career as a player at Kaneland, Creamean-Roti became an All-Conference and All-Academic player at DePaul University, helping lead the 1987-88 Blue Demon team to an NIT Championship. A sharp shooting three point specialist, Creamean-Roti was also instrumental in leading the Blue Demons to their first ever NCAA Tournament appearances in 1990 and 1991. Creamean-Roti was inducted into the DePaul Athletic Hall of Fame with the NIT Championship team in 2009.

Beth Creamean-Roti has acted as the on-site Assistant Teaching Director for the Doug Bruno Girls Basketball Camps for 30 of the camp’s 40 years. She has assisted Coach Bruno throughout the development of the camp’s teaching curriculum. “It has been a privilege to learn and work alongside Coach Bruno for 30 years,” commented Coach Creamean-Roti. “His desire, passion, and dedication to girls’ basketball is amazing and I am proud to continue his tradition and legacy in the camp. Teaching young athletes the fundamentals of basketball, seeing them improve their skills, and build their self-confidence is what I love about camp. I look so forward to continue the Bruno Camp tradition.”

Coach Bruno is a pioneer and crusader for women’s basketball at all levels, and is entering his 34th season as the head of the DePaul University program for 2019-20. As an assistant coach for the USA Women’s Basketball National Team since 2009, Bruno has helped lead the USA to its fifth and sixth straight golds in the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. In summer 2020, Coach Bruno will be stepping off the court, making way for onsite Director Beth “Spider” Roti who will be at camp each day. While Coach Bruno will still be an integral part of the camp, making an appearance at each session, his main focus will be overseeing the development and quality of the camp curriculum.

Camp Staff Leaders

An integral part of our camp structure is our personalized camper training. This philosophy is adhered to by following a camper instructor ratio of only 8:1. Our staff is comprised of the most outstanding college, high school and former/current Professional League players/coaches from across the country. Each coach has extensive experience in coaching both men and women on all levels of competition.

In addition to professional teachers our staff includes college age players form DePaul and other major colleges from around the country. In addition to teaching, these college age players provide great role models for our campers.

Dorm Mom

Our Dorm Mom will supervise our dormitories ensuring your daughter’s needs are met when she is not in the gym. She also will monitor our voice phone-system to pass along messages to your daughters.

Certified Athletic Trainers

As part of our permanent staff, two fully certified athletic trainers are at camp the entire week. Our athletic trainers are present in the gym the entire day while campers are playing basketball.


Any expenses resulting from illness or injuries, emergency or non-emergency, are the sole responsibility of the camper’s parents or guardians.
